Symptoms insomnia related or something else?

For probably the last several months I have had trouble falling asleep at night. I usually wake up around 10am and avoid taking naps or drinking coffee during the day. I’m usually awake at night until at least 3 or 4am. I get tired but just can’t fall asleep. I function alright during the day, I mean I am getting about 6 hours of sleep. But the continuing sleeplessness is a little nerve racking.
I have tried taking baths before bed. I drink quite a bit of soda but have been drinking caffeine free for the past 2 months. I try laying down at a resonable time and just relaxing with the lights out. Listening to soothing music. I’ve also tried a few over the counter sleep aids which only make me extremely groggy the next morning.
I don’t know if necessarily I have insomnia or if another reason better fits. If I’m still having a problem at the end of this month I’m going to the doctor. Does anyone have any suggestions on either information or ideas as to what my problem is?

Someone please help me!?

Ok, well recently, for some reason I have been feeling very terrible mentally. Some things I feel are:
*Constant sadness
*Hopelessness
*Like no one can help
*Fear and dread (it’s something I can’t seem to grasp, I don’t know what it is exactly that I fear or dread)
*A weird feeling of being doomed (I don’t know how to explain it, but it is almost like every day I feel like I’m going to die)
*Not feeling happiness anymore (having constant sadness for unknown reasons)
*Insomnia (almost every night)
*Not feeling hungry
All of those symptoms just seem to have hit suddenly. I am normally very happy. I am not having thoughts of suicide (thankfully) but I hate living with all of those horrible feelings. I mean, I don’t laugh or even smile anymore without having to force one. I just don’t feel happy anymore. Could someone please tell me what’s going on? It’s almost Christmas and I haven’t even smiled once. Could someone please give me their guess on what’s wrong with me?

Another thing I want to add. My family life is great. There is no alcohol, drug, or physical abuse. I have alot of friends. I live in a nice neighborhood and house.

Smoking Marijuana before out-patient surgery.?

im a daily smoker. i use it for multiple reasons… insomnia, anxiety etc…. ive been on xanax for anxiety, but that ended bad. ive been on ambien for insomnia…. but i hate that drug with a passion now. So i tend to smoke marijuana instead now, and it solves both problems.
I’m going in for outpatient surgery on my leg today at 3 pm… there going to be putting a little plate and maybe some wires and screws. I broke it skating, and have already had ankle surgery. I broke it a week ago, and have been taking percocets (10 mg oxycodone every 5 hours) since…. so the anesthesiologists already knows im on drugs.
i smoked last night so i could get to bed, but i was wondering if smoking today would cause any problems… since im not supposed to eat today. I still taking my pain meds and allergy meds and what not today tho.

I dont get sleep for a long time, even if I go to bed late, and even if i do all the housework and feel dead tired..in fact this makes me sleep less.
We’re having lots of strawberry blueberry smoothies thruout the day.
Is that the reason for my insomnia? I’ve read blueberry keeps you more awake

I have insomnia and need help?

For the past couple of days I have been struggling with insomnia. I have been unable to fall asleep and if I do, I jolt awake within 20 minutes. I think I have been averaging maybe 2 hours (tops) of sleep like that a night. I did pop a benedryl the other night and slept great, but I want to cure this naturally. I want my life back – I want to be awake a work and able to go out a bit in the evening. How can I get back to my normal sleeping habit.
Possible reasons I have insomnia – I quit smoking under a week ago. I moved back in with my folks after being on my own for 3 years. I am starting to get into a new relationship with a nice boy but am not sure I am ready to date.
Please help me!!!

How can I get my Medical Marijuana License?

I’m 19 years old, and the only previous medical records that show up for me are asthma. But I would like to use the reason of Insomnia, Depression, and Social Anxiety (which I really do suffer from).
How would I be able to truthfully convince a marijuana doctor to prescribe it to me?
